POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Associate’s main focus is to qualify leads for the Broker Sales team.  Aside from providing basic sales support, this position is the first line contact for the majority of broker sales inquiries and is responsible for professionally handling these initial inquiries and qualifying them for sales. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Contact all incoming and outgoing leads (phone, email, chat) within 2 hours of receiving prospect information from Marketing or other lead generation source.

  • Validate lead information

  • Take detailed notes and record them in Salesforce

  • Forward lead information to the appropriate National Account Executive timely

  • Contact past prospects who received an agreement to research why they chose not to move forward, re-qualify and pass back to NAE.

  • Contact contract holders as a go between the NAE and prospect in an effort to get the prospect to respond

  • Ensure data entry and professional responses are written using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.  Use prewritten templates, when appropriate.

  • Communicate verbally in a clear and professional manner.

  • Efficiently respond to phone and e-mails at all times.

  • Maintain functional knowledge of internal applications and products.

  • Maintain composure during challenging situations.

  • Perform database and record keeping activities

  • Mails literatures such as product information and/or invitations

  • Other sales support duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year lead qualification or telemarketing experience

  • Working knowledge of internet browsers and MS Outlook, Word and Excel products

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable making outbound calls.

  • Must have patience and tact, maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.

  • Knowledge of real estate a plus
